On November 15, 2004, I unexpectedly became vision-impaired, which was a devastating time in my life that occurred after being a single mother who had just finished raising three children, now adults. After my pity party, the Ohio Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired (BSVI) referred me to WrightChoice and Dress for Success Columbus. After my suiting, I was employed at FirstlLink, which is now HandsOn Central Ohio.
Since 2007, I have been a recipient and advocate for Dress for Success Columbus and in 2010 was nominated as Dress for Success Columbus’s first “Woman of Power,” which I considered being a great honor. In addition, on May 4, 2013, I graduated from Ohio Dominican University with a Bachelor of Science Degree and purchased my dream home. I owe my success to God, Dress for Success Columbus, WrightChoice, and HandsOn Central Ohio. As such, I am reaching out with still another dream to give back to the community as I continue to publish our magazine “EnVision Proven Success” to allow other disadvantaged women in our community to know all your dreams are reachable.
"I am more than ecstatistic," and I have an EnVision Proven Success story because diverse women "don't look like what we've been through"! EnVision Proven Success is my way to show that we all have the power to succeed! We all stumble and go through challenging situations, and because of present and future sponsors, donations, and volunteers, we all have the confidence to stand tall.

As clients of nonprofit referral agencies, we have made every effort to achieve excellence and improve our status in our community.
